I’ve never actually saw a site that you buy it online. Most insurers have sites that you write your details etc they give you your quote and reference number, all you do is phone up tomorrow and they will start it straight away.

I recommend you go onto http://www.confused.com and they will find the cheapest for you.

Be careful as most insurance policies commence at midnight on the same day. As it’s past midnight (0100), the policy may not start for 23 hours.

I think in your circumstances I would ring the Insurance direct. They will then start your cover when you tell them. The internet is inflexible otherwise what is the problem with one day?
